- Have at least one serving of fruits and vegetables everyday. Fruits and vegetables give you important vitamins, nutrients and fibres.
- Eat pleny of fresh fruits especially between meal times. Taking fruits between meals reduce your urge to snack.
- Take at least 2 servings of fresh vegetables everyday. Eat them at lunch and dinner.
- Reduce number of meat servings you take per week.
- Replace "red meat" (beef, pork) with "white meat" (chicken, fish).
- Replace deep-fried food with steamed and boiled food.
- Do not drink liquids during meals. If you are thirsty, take plain water after 15 minutes of your meal.
- Avoid fast-food (Mac Donald, Kentuckey Fried Chicken) completely and if not possible, limit to once per week.
- Spend at least once a week to eat at home. Home-cooked food is less salty and oily and more nutritious.
- Avoid alcohol. Wine and beer are riched in calorie.
- Avoid taking beverages. Creamer and sugar in coffee and tea are another source of calorie. Drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday.
- Stay active everyday. Involve yourself in 20 to 40 minutes of physical activities everyday.
